Maine Coon talking to his owner: our cat says thank you!Harry the Maine Coon talking. You can hear our talking Maine Coon asking for chicken and actually saying ‘thank you’ when he gets a piece. He is well-mannered!
People say Maine Coons talk, and they are one of the chattiest cats you’ll ever meet. Our Maine Coons meow, chirp and trill and chat back if you talk to them. As you will see here, the female Maine Coon voice is just as loud as the male Maine Coon.

How much do cats sleep? A day in the life of a catJust how much do cats sleep each day? Cats sleep anything from 10 to 20 hours. The amount a cat sleeps in 24 hours can be wildly different every day. Sleep requirements change with age and lifestyle. The weather and temperature also affect how lethargic a cat is as does its general health on any given day.
Our Maine Coon, Mona, sleeps much longer on some days than others. The day we filmed this video, she decided to be extra-active and less sleepy – as you will see. That’s why it morphed from being about the amount a cat sleeps into a day in the life of a cat.

Cat litter review with unexpected interruption!I was filming this comparison of World's Best Cat Litter and Van Cat Litter. It was going exactly to plan when our Maine Coon, Mona, interrupted to pee in one of the little test trays - which goes to prove Maine Coons don't necessarily need large litter boxes!
We've used World's Best Litter for 15 years and love it. A breeder recently recommended we try Van Cat Litter so we bought the W225 Marseille Soap Scented version.
Both litters claim to be at about 99% dust free and to have superior clumping and absorbency qualities. We tested these claims specifically.
Our testers 'peed' 40ml into each tray. See the results, what we concluded and which litter our cat Mona seems to prefer!

Maine Coons can meow but often say ‘mow’ and make other one-syllable sounds. You can hear plenty of Maine Coon vocals in this video courtesy of our Maine Coons, Harry and Mona.
Our beloved red tabby Maine Coon, Harry, passed away a few months ago, at age 15, and our hearts are still broken. We treasure these clips of him talking and chatting. Listen out for him saying, “Thank you,” when he's given a piece of chicken!
